Temple of Apollo at Veii

The Temple of Apollo at Veii is a famous wood, mud-brick and terracotta temple in the settlement of Veii near Rome and was constructed around 500 BC. The temple is very important for modern archaeologists because it provides some of the earliest examples of Etruscan architecture which would later heavily influence Roman architecture. The temple also appears to draw inspiration and has close parallels to Greek architecture which means it all mostly likely developed symbiotically through cultural diffusion.
